Khazad Dum in the Dwarven tongue, Moria is the greatest dwelling of dwarves in Middle Earth. The primary source of mithril, the mines are still being worked heavily by the inhabitants. Passage through Moria is heavily controlled and few non-dwarves are allowed to use the path. Moria maintains trade routes with men on both sides of the Misty Mountains, particularly Tharbad. Trade is suffering badly at the moment due to the plague ravaging the land.
