Weird stuff is happening in the castle. While I was away, Dworkin showed up and developed a schoolboy crush on the Queen. He grew her some eyes that work and has put blood creatures around her to watch her every moment. Kinda creepy if you ask me.

Random had decided to kill off the adept now that he has suffered long enough. I got the job of killing him and found myself introduced to one of the Pattern swords, Werewindle, that no one wants to touch. For some reason, it dislikes Random and the others. It tolerated me, especially when I informed it what the plan was.

So off I went into shadow again with a sociopathic intelligent sword, intent on skewering the Adept and ending his miserable existence. When I got there, it was obvious others had been trying to rescue the Adept as there were a number of dead bodies scattered around.

Not to dwell on grisly details, I finished the job and got back to Amber to drop off the sword as soon as I could.
