It took a while, but finally the preparations to attack the mountain were completed. I recruited a few cousins for help and met Brand & Co for the rescue mission.

In the event, my sneaky replacement peasants did not get much use. The rest of the family had gotten wind of the impending attack and made their own arrangements. More on that later.

I went in with Mykal, Jade and Fantasia while Brand futzed up the mountain defenses. We found to our dismay that Thera had been parted out for souvenirs and only her still living brain was intact, floating in a tank and sustained by magic. Alarms were eventually tripped, so we got out as soon as we could. She is now in Rebma where all are attempting to help her.

There were more brains down there, but who they were I haven't a clue.

I foresee major paybacks in the near future. The rest of the family wants to lay waste to the complex and I am sure I will find myself right along side them.
