Andre's Journal

Date: Not sure anymore.

A while back I became curious about the fate of Thera and had traced her to a Black Watch member known as the Beastlord or Beastmaster or some such thing. He's dead now from Benedict's curse so it really does not matter a whole lot.

His lair was a volcanic looking mountain in a primitive jungle area just full to the brim with large meaty critters. I had been staking out the place, waiting for a message to come out from my implanted spy. What came out instead was a large and fast flying messenger headed out to shadow.

Now I'm a curious sort and I wanted to know what that message might be. I shifted form to follow and eventually caught the critter. It was simple to subdue, but I assumed (correctly as it turned out) that the message it carried would be protected by magic and in code. I kept the beast alive after learning it's form and trumped it through to Bleys.

He checked it out, made his own tests, then reluctantly allowed me to take it and the message on to Amber for Fiona to examine. Things were not so simple as it turned out. Fiona wasn't accepting visitors at the moment and it took some pleading to get her to pull me through. She didn't look well and we weren't in Amber. Corwin had apparently taken Dierdre's rescue amiss (shocking that), and was busy invading the Earth shadows looking for her.

To make along story short, Random was there and ordered Mykal to bring in Merlin to help in Fiona's stead. Mykal found Merlin, sobered him up and put him to work. I had coding experts made available courtesy of Flora and they went to work on the message once Merlin had deactivated the traps. About then, it was deemed wise to leave the shadow so we did so. I imagine the whole Corwin thing will shortly drag me in, but I sure want to get back to screwing with chaosians.
