Argent is the "Patternverse" that Corwin created. Dworkin made his Patternverse with the [Jewelof Judgment]?, "blood, lyre and lightning" and, probably, the Unicorn's help. Corwin used the Jewel, happened to be carrying Greyswandir and was otherwise alone.

According to Merlin, Corwin's realm and capital resemble his favorite place and era on Shadow Earth with a few Avalonisms thrown in, all prettied up. The place pretty much runs itself and things go the way Corwin wants them to.

Corwin was able to hold Deirdre there in a delusional state wherein she was happy to be his concubine and showed no qualms about incest or anything else.
