Melisandre (daughter of Moire and Corwin) is 19 and has just been crowned Queen of Rebma. Initial opposition by Archdivine Teleri has been withdrawn, as has much of Teleri's help in administering the realm. Melisandre is in over her head.

Melisandre is close to her (much older) nephew Martin and to Jade. is acting as her chief henchwoman -- when she's around.

Update: Melisandre's Battle Master, Llewella, went missing in the Disaster along with both Martin and Jade. She is currently the only Pattern initiate readily available to Rebma.

With Jade gone she seems to be buckling down to queening it.

Mel has demonstrated considerable mastery of the Jewel of Rebma.
