Journal: Session 14

Sam: Arrival of new-found family member Sam (Samantha) Spade, Found (and tested) by Flora on Shadow Earth after the recombination.

Jade: Spends the morning after the assasination attemp against her father sparring with the House Arms-Master Galantyne. He is VERY good, possibly a bit better even than she is, but hard to tell with only a 4 hour sparring match. She is having alot of fun too, but her father interrupts to have a family meeting. The meeting is to decide who they will emplace as Duke of the House, and who the House will support for King in Chaos. Jade endures the politics with martyred patience, and finally is sent to *chat* with Brand, (her father wants her to spy on him, find out what he's doing in Chaos) so she escapes with relief.

Mykal: Assists Flora in restructuring her Shadow Earth network. Is exploring the new era of the shadow when he is Trumped by Mom to Amber, to meet Sam.

Sam: Flora takes her to Amber to meet King Random, and where she positively identifies Oberon (from a painting) as the person who initiated her into the pattern. Andre is Trumped to see if they recognize each other, which turns up negative. Flora offers to take Sam shopping which prompts the disappearance of Mykal.

Mykal: Escapes the Royal Tour when Mom starts talking about shopping, and heads to check on his townhouse. Then he heads for Rebma to check on his Coronation gift for Melissandra, it is ready and he collects it from Lady Saithryn... along with some general Rebman gossip which indicates that Mel is having some problems with political junk. He decides to go visit Mel, and *abducts* her to the 4x shadow he uses for Trumpwork. After a long lunch and alot of chatting, including the Corwin/Dierdre situation and shadowearth briefing, she gathers her bodyguard and departs back to Rebma. He spends time working on a Trump trick he is trying to perfect for a second gift for Mel.

Andre: Heads back to Black Watch citadel, (interrupted partway there with Trump call about Sam) and abducts a slave/peasant, bringing it back to Amber he visits Fiona who is playing with Greyswandir and seeks her assistance in Replicating/Replacing the Slaves with thier own personnel in an attempt to infiltrate and sabotage the Citadel. She, sends him to find Brand in the Courts as a "more competent expert" in the tactics he is interested in, and she wants him to spy on Brand too. Sends him to Llewella.

Sam: Shopping with Flora, has to be firm about not allowing her to adjust Sam's fashion. Sam has the idea that to be most useful to her new family (she got the offer to swear fealty to Random or be stuck in a dark hole for awhile) she should NOT be announced as a newfound family member, and work behind the scenes ..much as Andre does..though she didnt know it. Flora takes her to Rebma to visit Llewella, an impish impulse to introduce Sam to Underwater Living, and introduce Llewella to Sam. After chatting for awhile, and getting to know one another. Sam and Flora head back to Amber. They seperate, and after drying off Sam begins to set up her cover as an applicant for the position of Special Investigator for the Crown. She spends time chatting up the castle servants about the royals..then dines with Martin and Tyler, who she wandered past while they were sparring.

Jade: Prepares to go *visit* Brand. Escorted by Hloe and Dagomar ([Arms Master]?'s wife and son) by way of logrus to where Brand is staying. Hloe departs and Dagomar escorts her to the *hotel* where Brand is residing. They meet Brand's people and finally get an audience/visit with Brand They discuss family matters, and Jade heads off Brands plans to attack her fathers House. Brand wants something in return though, and wants assistance in getting into the Royal Library of Chaos to research transferring a spirit between bodies, for one of his people, and possibly for himself too.

Andre: Goes to Llewella for access to Chaos, is passed through to Vramin. Briefs Vramin on his mission to rescue Thera..and cuts a deal for assistance with the rescue (would look good for Sawall to assist Amber in this matter) and Vramin admits that Jade is currently with Brand on another mission. Andre trumps Jade and is brought through to the hotel. Briefs Brand on his mission and requests assistance, observes that Brand might use this as a way to score points with the Amberites who are rather put out with him. Someone suggests Trumping Mykal and requesting his assistance, and this is done.

Mykal: Recieves tenuous Trump from Chaos, gets the explanation and request, and decides to help out. Grabs his War Gear and trumps to Chaos.

Jade, Andre, and Mykal: along with Brand and his people, prepare to move on Thera's kidnappers. Tactics and Strategy ensue. along with alot of preparation..physical and magical. A Black Watch Citadel will be no pushover.
