Describe Session Twenty Seven here.

Sam - Goes to Flora asking about Sam's Mom, Flora knew who she was but didnt know her well enough to attempt to reassemble her. Sam would have to go to Corwin for the attempt. Discussion turns to Fair matters with Sam bringing up a few things she wants to set up and sponsor.

Archie - Researching Fair activities and what he would like to sponsor, also trying to set up an agreement with the guards to police up his drunken sailors if they cant make it back to the ship.

Mykal - Still in training, also researching Fair activities, Decides to sponsor some of the martial ones that his Uncles used to (Gerard and Benedict primarily). Gets alot of sponsorship requests from diverse krews. Paints a Trump of Eldre (the Trump Artist Unicorn) and trumps her to reinforce his invitation to the Fair, for whomever of her people want to come, and promises to try to keep the visit "unofficial".

Sam - Heads off to her shadow (shadowrun) and aquires a bunch of cheap plastic tokens for her Fair activities. (this is noticed and reported to diverse interests who are keeping a watch on her) Comes back to Amber and "hides" the tokens in various spots for her Fair activity.

Mykal - attempts to Trump Gerard and Dierdre unsuccessfully, trys different influences to strenthen the contact.

Sam - Decides to go Gerard hunting, recruits Vialle and Mykal. Brainstorming on ways to attempt contact, Mykal reports his failed attempts. Plans made and family contacted for an attempt after the Fair.

All - Fair week is skipped over, only minor interactions with each of the Pc's. Mykal and his Unicorn guests are a popular attraction with most of the family. Lady Dame returns from shadow and drags Archie off into the bushes. Sam allows her Dragon buddy from Shadowrun to drag her off to the bushes. Mykal gets several trips to the bushes with a variety of draggers...including Eldre. Flora does catch a Chaosin spy, left over from before. Report was generated by an insectologist who noticed the chaosian's firefly spies weren't quite right. Even Melissandre is lured by Mykal for a short visit, especially once the Unicorns are mentioned.

Sam - Visits Brand and discusses the plans to "rescue" our missing family. Gets general good advice, Brand declines to come to Amber and assist. He claims a disinclination to get anywhere near a pattern. She returns to Amber, then contacts Merlin and recruits him for the attempt. Fantasia Frost is also recruited, upon Vialle's suggestion. Sam gets some Stimulants that Brand suggested, would help.

Mykal - Upon reflection on the possibilities (meditation) he decides to create a "Trick" trump of Gerard for this attempt, infusing it with his Desire to find Gerard, and his Desire to not be sucked into the card inadvertantly.

ALL - Attempt time comes. Mykal, Sam, and Merlin walk the pattern (any others?) and at the center begin the attempt with Mykal as Point and pushing the contact, Sam as energy and anchor, and Merlin to feed the energy of the Font (collected by Fantasia) to Sam. Also present is Julian, Thera, and Delwin who are attempting to influence the probablility of success, Along with Flora as an anchor, and Vialle as a Sensitive. After several hours Vialle gets a flicker of contact and Sam hits Mykal with a Stim, his concentration goes into overdrive and he sucks up every bit of energy they can feed to him.

Contact is made and Mykal snatches Gerard from the Stasis mini-verse that he was stuck in. Gerard is highly disoriented and breaks Mykal's hand when he is grabbed, Mykal refuses to release him and pulls him to Amber. Gerard then grabs Merlin (who is in Chaos form) and begins to break his neck, and is stopped by Mykal and Sam.

All pattern-jump to the outside of the pattern where the rest of the family awaits. Archie trumps to the castle entry, and begins to trump everyone else up, after clearing it with the guards. Recovery from the ordeal begins, it was very hard on several of the participants. Gerard is severely embarrassed about breaking Mykal's hand and insists on resetting it himself.

Discussions also are begun on who to attempt to bring back next, and who to leave for later.
